LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT
A central challenge for organisations across the entire world is to improve systems that continuously perpetuate the development of high quality leaders, managers, administrators and supervisors. Leadership and management have been wonderfully differentiated by Steven Covey respectively as "doing the right things" and "doing things right". There is a difference in role and activity between the two positions, but they are not mutually exclusive. Today's manager may well be, and often is, tomorrow's leader. Excellent managers usually display the characteristics of great leaders anyway. And to top it all, we don't believe that leadership is a mystical or genetic quality, but is rather a set of beliefs, attitudes and skills that anyone can learn with desire and perseverence. Our apporach to this area is to work with our clients in developing individuals who are clear about the direction in which they want to move, and to give them the tools to navigate this journey flexibly, taking into account that the path will rarely be straight.
 
All leadership and management starts with personal leadership, taking control of your own ship, and leading/managing by example. We train people how to develop a sense of congruence, passion and dynamism that will inspire others to do the same. Above all, we believe that leadership and management are a function of respect and willingness, not of power, position and coersion.
